Techcrunch reported today that Media Whiz Is for sale. They are looking for around 400 million . Which Techcrunch reports is 3 times their 2007 revenue. Whats the biggest 2 programs for sale? Auctionads and text link ads. Wow Auction ads. A crap program that is the bastard child of Shoemoney media. Auctionads has not been reporting right since July. I don’t know what else they own but in the eyes of a buyer AA should be seen as a liability not an asset. This could explain the bad reporting. Like and old car you are going to sell. Why waste the $10.00 to change the oil.
The worst part of this is when shoeomoney media was running the program it was a great then. I made alot more money than with any other program, But as a publisher it tends to piss you off when you log into your account to check stats and Oh the site is down gain which means all of your sites are showing white blocks. So it could be fixed and could be a great company, but now it is just getting shuffled around like a bastard child. the worst thing that can Happen to auctionads in my mind is for Google to buy it.
Do I still believe auctionads can make a lot of money? ” yes”, But it needs to be fixed not sold. I a sure it will be copied soon and them their will be hella competition. If I can get permission to write about it I will write about a way to make your commission Junction ads look like auctionads. which is a really good design for the ads. I got a 20% higher click through rate with Auction Ads them I did with the CJ design.
